WHEAT Trust

Poverty and violence remain two of South Africa’s most pressing challenges. Women and girls are disproportionately impacted upon. WHEAT’s goal is to provide education, training and capacity building opportunities to enable women to build a movement of community based leaders able to respond to the opportunities and challenges facing them at that level. The aim of WHEAT TRUST is to provide opportunities and assistance to women to energise, tool and build the leaderships, strategies and collective power that enable women to lead their communities to a more sustainable future. WHEAT has formulated the following goals and objectives:
1. To be a sustainable well run organisation;
2. To Increase and strengthen leadership among women and girls;
3. To bring women into the economy;
3. To strengthen women-led grassroots organisations working with human rights for women, and
5. To develop and sustain a new culture of giving
