Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre

Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre (TLAC) is a women’s rights organisation focused on addressing sexual and domestic violence against women and children by using the law as a vehicle for social change. We do this by conducting research, training and the provision of legal services.
One of our key projects is conducting educational initiatives in schools to raise awareness on sexual violence including where and how to report should such occur. The basis for this approach is the high levels of rape and harassment in schools and our position is that schools must be safe spaces for children to learn and the presence of sexual violence works against this .
