The UPliftment Programme (UP) - sharing the Healing power of Joy

The UP (UPliftment Programme) is passionate about sharing the healing power of joy; we focus on bringing socio-emotional welfare, helping to grow a more positive, joyous South Africa. Active since 2003, The UP is a volunteer driven organisation, devoted to training UP and supporting volunteers as they share healing joy with the ailed and challenged children and adults in Southern Africa.

The UP has over 50 trained UP and active volunteers now in Gauteng and the Cape, bringing consistent joy to over 800 children per week. They intend to have 1000 volunteers by 2012 and with the recent interest in joy activities, both from supporters and new volunteers, this seems a positively tangible goal.
