The Foundation believes that the challenge of orphaned and vulnerable children in South Africa needs to be dealt with sustainably, and by the community members themselves. For this reason, we assist communities to open and register drop-in centres. We then assist them to access Government and other funding, and, together with partner NGO's provide training. The drop-in centres are run by Caregivers from the communities, and they are a place of safety that children can attend after school to receive a nutritious cooked meal, clean themselves and their school uniforms, receive assistance with homework, psycho-social support, life skills etc.
