The Centre for Language and Hearing Impaired Children is a specialized preschool facility that has been providing specialized education and therapeutic services to communicatively impaired pre-school children for the last thirty years. The communication difficulties experienced by our children arise from a variety of different causes, some experience profound hearing impairments, some with a significant language impairment and others with motor-planning disorders. Research has shown that without significant early intervention, children with communication difficulties will go on to experience learning and educational problems at school level resulting in a significant drain on educational resources as well as social services. The Centre therefore endeavors to provide this intensive early intervention to lessen the cumulative effect of this severe impairment and our outcomes speak for themselves!
