Step by Step Day Care Centre

Step by Step Day Care Centre was founded by local resident Lindiwe Dani in 2015 in a small hut in rural Transkei. We have since moved into a brick and mortar building. Our intake in 2018 is 42 children. We are funded entirely by donations as the families whose children attend the school are unable to afford any payment. Our main aim is to provide early childhood education to local rural children from age 1 to 6yrs. We soon realised that children were coming to school hungry and this was hindering their concentration and learning. Our top priority now is to give each child a daily healthy meal.
