Midrand SPCA
At the Midrand SPCA, we fiercely believe in the inherent worth of animals. They transcend mere economic value and deserve robust legal, moral, and ethical safeguarding. Our mandate is to shield all creatures from cruelty, neglect, and ill-treatment borne out of ignorance.
We diligently investigate cruelty complaints, inspect pet shops and exhibits, and provide refuge for all stray, abandoned, and unwanted animals. Additionally, we run a small clinic that focuses on offering basic healthcare to pet owners who cannot afford private veterinary care.
Beyond that, we carry out inspections at abattoirs, hawking sites, coal yards, security companies, correctional facilities, cull outlets, zoos, and other animal-housing establishments. Our aim is to ensure that all animals, regardless of their final destination, are treated with respect and compassion.
We receive no government funding, relying entirely on the generosity of the community for monetary contributions.
