South African Union of Jewish Students

We are the official representative body for Jewish and/or Zionist students studying at tertiary education institutions in the Western Cape. We are a plural and non-partisan society. Although we are not a registered NPO/PBO, we operate on a non-profit basis. Every year we receive an allocation of funds from our parent organisation, the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies, which is made up of donations from members of our community, and charge our members a nominal membership fee. The purpose of our society is to give our students a unique Jewish/Israeli experience through culture, education, outreach and social initiatives. Every semester we offer our students a variety of events and activities that fall within the above mentioned aspects, both on and off campus.
