Family Action South Africa is an organization of lay Catholics concerned about the moral crisis shaking the foundations of our societies. It is a civic, cultural, and nonpartisan nonprofit organization, drawing its inspiration from the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church through the promotion of the religious teachings, tenets, doctrines, morals, and observances and their application to individuals, families, and society at large. Foremost is the defence and nurturing of the family institution - the "mother cell" of society - and the role played by wholesome tradition and the private ownership of property.
These objects are pursued in the realm of ideas, in a legal and peaceful manner, by means of: research and studies, internet, mail, radio, television, advertisements, and other media. Also through the publication and distribution of books, magazines, newsletters, and pamphlets, public petitions, open letters, public rallies, seminars and formation programs for youth and adults.
