South African Breastmilk Reserve

The South African Breastmilk Reserve (SABR) is a non-profit organization established in 2003. Over the past two decades, we have reached 50,000 premature babies in South African hospitals with life-saving donor milk. Annually, we supply safe, pasteurized donor human milk to over 100 NICUs nationwide. SABR is dedicated to promoting human-milk banking and improving the health and survival of premature and ill infants. Our team ensures that every baby in need has access to life-saving donor milk. Our success, measured in lives saved, is only possible through the generosity of our donors and supporters. Your contributions help us provide vital resources to the most vulnerable infants. Donate to support the processing of donated breastmilk. In July 2024 alone, we re-distributed 500 units of breastmilk pro-bono to state hospital facilities. Thank you for being part of our mission and making a difference, one drop at a time.
