Shree Pretoria Hindu Seva Samaj

In pursuit of the vision, the Samaj will:

a) Ensure that it effectively addresses the social, economic, cultural, spiritual, educational and political needs of the Hindu Community of the Pretoria/Tshwane region;
b) Further the community’s image of being worthy citizens of Pretoria/Tshwane region & South Africa;
c) Improve the quality of life of the Gujarati community of Pretoria/Tshwane region as well as the wider community within which we co-exist

* To represent, promote and protect the cultural, religious, social, educational, economic and political interests, needs and aspirations of the Hindu Gujarati community and, where relevant, the co-existing Hindu and other communities of the Greater Pretoria/Tshwane Municipal area;
* To propagate the Hindu religion and culture in all its diversity;
* To provide for the education of the Hindu Gujarati youth and adults in the Gujarati language, religion, dance, arts & culture;
* To promote and support the value of education towards economic well- being;
* To affiliate with local, provincial national and international bodies that have similar aims and objectives;
* To consider affiliation of bodies having similar aims and objectives;
* To uphold and encourage the values, beliefs and tenets as espoused in the various Hindu religious texts;
* To raise funds for the achievements of the aims and objectives of the Samaj;
* To ensure the interests of special groups within the community (youth, women & elderly) are promoted, protected and provided for;
* To plan and encourage the observation of Hindu festivals;
* To undertake charitable activities to assist the less fortunate and needy;
