Sentinel Ocean Alliance

The Sentinel ocean alliance aims to promote and teach ocean knowledge and basic skills to previously disadvantaged people (mostly kids) from the Hangberg and Imizamuyetu communities. Using the waves for Change program, Surf Lifesaving and surfing we hope to give the kids in these communities opportunities to better there lives and the lives of there familyaEUR(TM)s.

Our aim is to set up a Safe space where kids from these areas can come down and have access to the ocean. Whether it is surfboards or Surf lifesaving we also hope to run some recycling programs from the site and help educate the community about the dangers of pollution and single use plastics in our oceans.

At the moment we have a small green shipping container that we use to store the boards and wetsuits. We hope to however turn that into a clubhouse where the above can take place.
