SABTIA aims to support and promote the growth, development and strengthening of business and technology incubation as effective instruments for supporting the growth and development of SMME's as effective vehicles for contributing towards economic development and growth.

Business support organizations have to change the way they deliver support services, reshaping and innovating their own methodologies, moving away from the “one-size-fits-all” assumption. Business Incubators have to introduce concepts such as co-working spaces, end-user testing facilities and also, engage in wider cooperation with other fundamental players in the innovation ecosystems such as technology transfer offices, research centers and the financial industry.
