Perpetua House is a special needs school for teenagers with intellectual disabilities where they are taught and trained to be active members of society when they leave school. The school day contains both academic time to improve the learners literacy, numeracy and general knowledge skills, and career development time where they are taught skills to cope in the working world. A great deal of time is spent job shadowing real jobs and time is spent each week training on site. Learners include those with Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other barriers to learning.
