Lawyers against Abuse

Lawyers against Abuse (LvA) provides free legal services and psycho-social support for victims of domestic violence and sexual violence in Diepsloot, a township in the north of Johannesburg. We use a fully integrated approach, built on a deep understanding of the social context and psychological aspects of violence. Through our work, LvA engages with state actors to shift behaviours and attitudes in order to ensure the law is applied and victims of violence receive justice.
