Genevas House

Geneva's House is a Centre for destitute abused women and children and we (as of 1st February 2013) house about 61 children and 34 women. Some of the children at our facility are orphans and some are victims of abuse. Our main objective is victim empowerment as we provide a temporary shelter for victims of domestic abuse, violent sexual crimes, child abuse and we also provide counselling for them. We have an HIV program that teaches victims of sexual abuse about HIV and how it can be a controlled virus and we also provide information on nutrition for our HIV positive victims.
We have an Early Childhood Development facility on our premises as we believe that developing a child at an early age is important as it plays a significant role in creating future leaders.

AN APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE
We are currently experiencing funding constraints as we are not getting any funding from the Department of Social Development and we do not have any assistance from private companies which makes it an up hill battle to run the Centre properly.
We would highly appreciate any form of assistance as we struggle on a daily basis to provide for our beneficiaries.
