I, Thula Mkhize, started this dynamic and trailblazing campaign in 2010, over a year after I found out I was living with HIV. The core of the campaign is what helped me accept my status and rise above what was deemed to be a death sentence. Mahatma Gandhi said, “be the change you want to see in the world”, so I used my journey and experiences to start a campaign aimed at changing the HIV/AIDS narrative, fight stigma and create HIV-friendly communities.
Over the past seven years, the degree of the campaign has been limited and we need the funds to reach and impact as many people as possible.
