Food4kidz

Food4kids started on the 14th of November 2011 to give a healthy balanced meal to school children, for most of these children it’s their only and last meal for the day, food4kids has started with 35 children at present we have a total of 120 children who receive food each day.
The children receive their meals during their break time, where intense monitoring of the children takes place where we observe any signs of physical and emotional abuse for these children are growing up in harsh and extremely difficult situations in their life, a hug and a warm meal make these children’s day . Giving this Children Hope is privileged to work with diverse individuals and communities and to be the hands and feet of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Teachers identify the children who need help, where the parent’s give food4kidz permission in writing that food4kidz may give their children food and the support they need. Food4kids presently have an kitchen located on the Bloemfontein Show Grounds were we prepare the food each week day morning were we dish up at 09:00am where the food go out to the three schools. Unfortunately, for many children, hunger isn’t just an occasional missed meal, it is a way of life.
