FAMSA Knysna

“FAMSA” is Families South Africa. FAMSA Knysna is an autonomous organisation that is affiliated to the FAMSA Movement in South Africa.

With offices in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, our main focus is to provide counselling services to persons in need of support due to emotional problems in marriage, family, personal issues or because of a traumatic experiences.

We depend on several Volunteers to deliver the services, and ensure they comply with the high standards of service delivery ensuring that FAMSA is a credible, relevant organisation.

We believe in every person’s potential to solve their own problems. We give support and guidelines for optimal functioning.

Several community projects have been introduced: programmes for women, men and parents amongst others.

Training is done through the various projects as well as on an annual and on request basis.

Trauma Support has also been added when it was identified as a need.

We encourage people from all walks of life and circumstances to come forward for assistance.
