Egoli Squash (a project of Central Gauteng Squash) uses sport to create positive social change. With over 5 000 beneficiaries, we open up new experiences for children from disadvantaged backgrounds introducing children from the inner-city of Johannesburg, Soweto and Alexandra to the game of squash, helping to foster in them a love of sport, taking them off the streets. The platform of sport is used to empower kids to realize their full academic, athletic and personal potential reviving the spirit of ubuntu among our youth. Our program include Homework assistance, Life Skills mentoring and guiding, while disseminate information on stages of growth, puberty emotional changes, STIs and HIV/AIDS, early pregnancies, alcohol abuse, crime and other life issues that may affect the children.
