The objectives of the Trust is to provide funds that can be utilised for activities in the areas of education, development, environmental sustainability, welfare and health care, which will include but not be limited to-
1. the improvement of the lives of poor and needy persons including the caring, counselling, supporting, assisting or provision of educational-and training programmes relating to various humanitarian needs;
2. the promotion of community-based projects relating to self-help, empowerment, capacity building, skills development or anti-poverty;
3. the promotion of conflict resolution, reconciliation, mutual respect and tolerance between the various peoples of South Africa;
4. the provision of disaster relief;
5. the provision of poverty relief;
6. educational enrichment, academic support, supplementary tuition or outreach programmes for the poor and needy;
7. the provision of scholarships, bursaries and awards for study, research and teaching on such conditions as may be prescribed by the Minister by way of regulation in the Gazette;
8. the provision of youth leadership or development programmes;
9. engaging in the conservation, rehabilitation or protection of the natural environment, including flora, fauna or the biosphere and;
10. to other charitable institutions of a public nature which serve similar purposes, registered in the Republic of South Africa and are exempt from income tax in terms of sec 10(1)(cN) of the Income Tax Act.
