When do we meet at Crystal Park Baptist Church Benoni?

Sunday Morning Services Times

Crystal Park Baptist Church Benoni’s Sunday morning services are 8:30-9:45am and 10:30-11:45am. There will be Sunday school during the 8:30am service. We will continue to stream the service at 8:30am to YouTube and Facebook.

Registration

Over this period, as part of our health and safety protocol, we register attendees at the door; however preregistration is not required.

Parking

Visitor parking is available on the church property. More parking is available on the curbs of Clydesdale Road.

Disability Access

There is enlarged parking close to entryways. We have no steps at entrances to halls and bathrooms. We have enlarged doors to halls. There are appropriate thresholds at doors. There are chairs closest to exits designated for the mobility impaired. There are chairs in the first-row designated for the sight-impaired. Door greeters with visible identification are available to accommodate other special needs.

Guest Information

When you arrive a door greeter will be on hand to greet you. We are not going to call you up to the front or ask you to stand so do not fear.

What about our kids?

Infants

There is a quiet room for mothers with babies. The room has a video feed, a changing mat, and a toy box. Follow the signage from the main entrance or ask a door greeter. Many of our mothers sit in the service with their babies unless they become niggly. Designated chairs at the back of the church are for families with young children.

Children

We run a Sunday school program for toddlers (3 and potty trained) to Grade 7 during the 8:30am service. You can follow the signage from the main entrance or ask a door greeter and check your child in as a safety precaution. Read our child protection policy here.

What is our worship like?

Worship

Our service includes Bible reading, praying, preaching, communion and baptisms and singing. We sing traditional and modern hymns as well as contemporary worship songs. We have a piano, drums, guitarists and a team of vocalists.

Dress

There is no dress code. In Winter some men may wear jeans, some chinos with button-up shirts or jerseys. In Summer some men may wear chinos, some shorts with button-up shirts or t-shirts. Some woman may wear skirts or dresses, some may wear slacks or jeans, all dress modestly. The preacher wears jeans or chinos and may wear a jacket if it is cold.

Atmosphere

Our worship is joy-filled, our preaching Gospel-centered. We are a friendly, comfortable and diverse community. We use video, imagery and other creative expressions to communicate God’s Word.

Size

We have seating for 50 in our main sanctuary and an additional 50 seats outside with appropriate social distancing. There is plenty of room for everybody. We have people who attend from all four corners of Benoni and some folk from further afield.

Giving

We don’t take up an offering during the service. There are envelops and a box available for people to give on Sunday. EFTs are a cheaper, more convenient, safer way of transferring money. Denomination

In the strictest sense, Baptists are non-Denominational and each local church is autonomous. Crystal Park Baptist Church Benoni does take part in freewill associations. We are a member church of Sola 5 and the Baptist Northern Association and listed on 9Marks. We also take part in Benoni and Eastrand fraternals.

Benoni

We love God and have a desire to see His fame and renown resound in our city. To that end, we seek to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace by working with like-minded churches.
