God made us in His image. As such, human life is precious and must be nurtured. Not only did God make us in His image, He made us male and female, able to join as one in marriage. Marriage and family are God's gifts to nurture vulnerable human life. Beyond these great gifts, He has given us the body of believers, where we all have a part in encouraging and nurturing one another. Within this framework, the health professional has to cherish human life, using the God-given resources to aid in this task. No person is an individual; we are all part of families and communities. It is our task to both remain in community ourselves and to assist others to stay in community.
