The purpose of Child Welfare Kenton is to provide a development Social Welfare service to children in need of care and protection in terms of the ChildrenaEUR(TM)s Act 38 of 2005. To provide Social Work services to children in need of care, support and protection within and outside of their family environment. The organisation became Child Welfare South Africa: Kenton/Bushmans in 1993 when the National Council together with the community realised there was a need to establish this particular organisation. Child Welfare SA: Kenton/Bushmans is the only organisation in this area currently rendering services to children between the ages of 0-13 years of age. Most of the members of the communities we serve view our office as a sort of advice office and therefore approach us for assistance with various matters such as assistance with the application of Care Dependency Grants, Child Support Grants, Disability Grants and counselling.
