Bophelo Impilo Development Centre here referred to as BIDC initially registered as a Non-Profit Organisation in 2015 under the directorship of Ms Boipuso Mashigo and Ms Boniswa Orleyn who are both Social Workers in private practice with over 23 years of Social Work experience between the two of them. The pair both possess MA degrees in Development Studies, thus making them quite knowledgeable and effective in rendering community development programmes. Their passion for social work as a profession saw them registering this organisation which aims to empower women, children and youth, as their target group.
In 2018 BIDC registered a Non-Profit Company (NPC) and two additional Directors joined the company, i.e. Ms Valerie Dietrich and Mr Ongama Mtimka. Ms Dietrich possesses an MA degree in Social Sciences with Sociology as her major, while Mr Mtimka also holds an MA Degree in South African Politics and Political Economy.
The trio is passionate about social and enterprise development.
