Considered one of the foremost experts in the field of drugs and addiction, Quintin van Kerken founded ADA-SA several years back after realizing that South Africa was (and still is) in the grips of a raging epidemic with regards to addiction. Only by educating the community, and ensuring that those caught in the grips of addiction are given the very best treatment that works, can we start making inroads, and actually making a difference. Quintin himself has a background in addiction, battling drug addiction for 10 years of his life. Being clear now for nearly several years, he is regularly called upon by the media to voice his opinion on drug related stories, and has appeared in countless magazine and newspaper articles, television programs and radio shows.
