Alexandra Aids Project

The Alexandra Aids Project (AAP) is a part of Vision to Africa (VTA). AAP is heavily involved in the aids pandemic that is sweeping the township of Alexandra. AAP are assisted by local NGO's, providing food parcels for orphans in about 120 households, some headed by a granny and some headed by the eldest child. AAP supply food and supplies to families, young mothers and their babies, and through Ratang Bana (local NGO), give support to the Red Roses Football Club. AAP is striving to empower the youth in Alexandra through the Red Roses and other initiatives like chess, promoting life skills, healthy life style and counseling.
