Rock a Bye House is part of the AFM Executive Welfare uMephi project and is a place of safety / halfway house for newborn babies, given up by their mothers, mostly saved from abortions or abandoned and sometimes just thrown away.
The House was established in December 2005 with the support of the AFM Executive Welfare Council.
We care for 8-10 babies at a time in the house. There are eight Caregivers that work 12 hour shifts. They receive a small salary.
The aim for the house is to get the community involves helping sponsoring some of the needs, so that we can be self sustainable and help the next generation.
