Abba Adoptions & Social Services, founded on June 30, 2016, is a vital child welfare organisation in South Africa, serving the Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, and North West provinces. With accreditations in both national and intercountry adoptions, Abba also provides mentoring for social workers in the North West Province. The organisation champions governance, policy development, and programme oversight, emphasising the safety and support of children and families.
At the heart of Abba's mission are Prevention, Protection, and Permanence, focusing on family preservation, prevention of child abandonment, and securing loving, permanent homes for children in need. Abba addresses child abandonment by rescuing endangered children, offering them immediate safety, and engaging with communities to unearth and tackle the underlying causes of abandonment.
Abba strengthens families and empowers women facing unplanned pregnancies with counselling and support, fostering informed decision-making.
