Amanda Osorio

Africa Arts Group NPC is a registered non-profit organisation founded in 2014 that produces innovative opera and classical music projects that celebrate the rich and diverse creative talent of South African artists. It is dedicated to creating professional opportunities and much needed career development for talented African singers and musicians, with a focus on young artists and musicians graduating from South African music institutions. Africa Arts commissions new classical music works by African composers, and is currently in the development of new South African operas.

Africa Arts makes classical music more accessible to South African audiences, and contributes to social cohesion. Our focus is on programming which makes classical music relevant to South African audiences while providing a better understanding of our history and culture as a nation, and telling South African stories. We raise funds and collect contributions in order to fund the organisation’s programmes.
